Runners at the Royal Parks Half Marathon by the Serpentine in Hyde Park

On the 8th of October 2017, we’re offering you the chance to run alongside 16,000 runners across four of London’s eight Royal Parks, in the capital’s Royal Parks Half Marathon. Sounds good, right? Here are six more fantastic reasons why the Royal Parks Half run is right for you.

1. When the race ends, the party begins!

The free Royal Parks Food and Fitness Festival will make race-day one to remember for you and your supporters! Replenish your energy and grab a beverage at the Food and Drink Market, whilst soaking up live music and entertainment – including a rock choir and marching band!

2. It’s incredibly eco-friendly

This run is potentially the greenest in the world! 66% of all race-day waste is recycled, food left over from the festival is donated to those in need, and the beautiful medals are made from sustainable wood.

4. It’s the 10 year anniversary!

2017 is the most exciting year in the race’s history – its tenth birthday! This means even more celebrating at the finish line, as you join the #10yearsrunning festivities.

5. The enormous health benefits!

Running has been scientifically proven to make you happier, stronger, fitter and cleverer – and even improve your hearing! What are you waiting for?
