22 year old Joy from London has been involved with RSBC services for years. Previously, she was chair of the RSBC Youth Forum, as well as being the face of Joy’s Campaign.
So, I heard something exciting the other day. I heard that RSBC’s Future Exchange is back and it’s coming to Birmingham. As a young person that has been involved with RSBC’s services for years, the thing I have enjoyed the most is attending every single Future Exchange.
I got to take part in different sessions that actually matters to me. I met so many other young people that had a vision impairment just like me. It made me feel so good to know I wasn’t alone and that there are other people that want to join forces and make a change so that our lives are easier.
I love approaching living with an eye condition with a positive attitude. At Future Exchange you get to meet a room full of like minded people who want to live beyond their sight loss.
So, if you are aged between 13 and 25, have a vision impairment live in the West Midlands and want a safe and productive space to voice your opinions and meet other young people, then you need to be at Future Exchange this November!
