Professionals: Let’s work together

If you work with families whose child has a sight condition, you’ll know how important it is for them to be able to share the laughs, the tears, the worries and the hopes that come with a sight loss diagnosis.

As professionals in the sight loss sector, you play a big part in the lives of blind young people. So you know it can be a very difficult and life changing situation. But with the right team around a family that is adjusting to living with a diagnosis of sight loss, they can get their life back on track.

RSBC is a 150-year-old charity dedicated to supporting families and young people to see beyond sight loss and live their lives to the fullest. Our Family Support Service provides a wide range of support for families of children who have been diagnosed, to help them understand and adapt to the condition and build confidence for life.

Combine our skills and make a real difference

Our Family Support Service is on hand to assist families across the country who need them. The service we provide is there to support and complement the great work that is already happening in communities in the UK.

We hope that by combining the skills, experience and local knowledge that you have with ours, we can make a huge difference to lots of families dealing with sight loss on a daily basis.

We’d love to meet you

We here at the RSBC have recently brought our event, Society Sessions, to several cities across the UK and we’d love you to join us at our next one. Society Sessions are all about meeting other people who work with vision impaired children, sharing experiences and supporting each other.

If you would like to know more about how our Family Support Service can support your work, or if you would like to suggest we hold our next Society Session in your local area, then we’d be delighted to talk with you.
