The Royal Society for Blind Children is recruiting a Family Support Worker in the North West. Our Family Support Workers offer practical support to families with blind and partially-sighted children. With outstanding communication skills and the ability to manage caseloads, our Family Support Workers deliver the services predominantly via telephone support, and home visits when required. Alongside developing relationships with a wide range of external and internal stakeholders you will source referrals and reach families who are most likely to benefit from the service, ensuring they can access any information they may need.
Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience of supporting families, be highly motivated, and able to communicate effectively with families and vision impaired children. In addition, they will be skilled at networking with other services and professionals and have intermediate level IT skills including Excel.
If you are able to deliver high quality support and exceptional services to our families then we want to hear from you.

Please submit your CV and a supporting statement that demonstrates your suitability (paying attention to the JD and person spec) to firstname.lastname@example.org. Closing date for receipt of applications: 09:00 on Friday, 26 April 2019. Interviews will be held during the second week in May – date tbc.
