Content Researcher

Responsible for researching and sourcing appropriate content for RSBC website, that provides visitors with the information they are seeking. Where necessary, ensure that the necessary permissions are obtained to publish third party materials. Media & Communications Officer

You will work with our Press and PR Manager to develop and implement a national media strategy, improve our use of social media in 2019, develop an up-to-date case study database and create compelling content for our website and social channels. You will be a first-class communicator, who will be equally comfortable speaking to a national journalist as to the parents of a child who has just been diagnosed with sight loss. You will be an accomplished storyteller with a keen eye for a story, who will have lots of ideas for stories which can work for traditional media, as well as content that can capture the imagination of social media users.

Family Engagement Worker x3 Posts

You will be part of an expanding, diverse team at the forefront of delivering therapeutic support to children and families with a Visual Impairment. You will have fortnightly supervision with the Clinical Lead for the service and be home-based, providing home visits, clinic-based appointments, liaising with other professionals and maintaining links with the networks in your area. Experience of working with people who are vision impaired, or who have a disability, is desirable but not essential. Experience of working therapeutically with families is required.
