Things you can do to help your vision impaired preschooler develop

Your blind or vision impaired preschooler aged 1 to 3 can learn like any other child. But they may do things in a different way and some activities may take them a little longer.

You know your child better than anyone, so remember to trust your instincts. It can help if you:

  • follow their lead
  • let them learn at their own pace
  • focus on what they can do
  • praise them

Stay relaxed - every child is different. The most important thing is to enjoy watching them grow up.
