JULY 2019

Thursday 25th July - Supper Club
Venue: One KX, Kings Cross, 120 Cromer Street, London WC1H 8BS

Enjoy good food, chat and make new friends at RSBC’s monthly Supper Club for 16-25-year-olds. Just in case you can't make the 25 July, here's an alternative date for your diary:

Friday 26th July – DSC Sports Summer Festival
Venue: Westway, 1 Crowthorne Road, London W10 6RP
Time: 10am - 2:30pm
Age: 8-25 years

Participants are free to enjoy over 20 different sports at their own pace, and with traditional and Paralympic/ adapted sports on offer you won’t be short of choice! Sports include Football, Cricket, Tennis, Boccia, Badminton and more!

AUGUST 2019

Thursday 1st August – Goalball
Venue: Our Lady’s High School, 6-16 Amhurst Park, London N16 5AF
Time: 10am - 12noon
Age: 8 - 25 years

Join us as we learn the basics of goalball. Goalball UK coaches will teach you how to attack and defend in this indoor 3-aside team sport. An alternative dates for your diary:

Friday 2nd August – Cooking and Money Management 
Venue: Plumstead Manor School, Old Mill Rd, London SE18 1QF
Time: 10am - 3pm
Age: 8 - 17 years

Get cooking with this Social and Independence activity for 8-17-year-olds, learn to budget and make a 2-course meal.  You will get to share and enjoy the food you have cooked! Another alternative date for your diary:

Tuesday 6th August – BBC Proms
Venue: Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Gore, London, SW7 2AP
Time: 10am – 1pm
Age: 8- 25 with parents and carers

The BBC Philharmonic performs Russian classics by Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky in a more relaxed environment. The Relaxed Prom features audio description and British Sign Language interpretation.

 

Wednesday 7th August – Friday 9th August – Royal Philharmonic Orchestra Workshop
Venue: Science Museum, Exhibition Road, South Kensington, London, SW7 2DD
Time: 10am – 4pm
Age: 10 – 25 years

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and RSBC are joining together for an exciting creative music project at the Science Museum. No prior musical experience is required but if you already play something, please bring it along! There will be a group performance at the end of the three days.

 

Tuesday 13th August – Swimming
Venue: London Aquatics Centre, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford E20 2ZQ
Time: TBC
Age: 8-25 years

Join RSBC for a fun-filled swimming session at the Olympic swimming pool, where you will be introduced to a variety of swimming strokes, along with playing team games.

 

Saturday 17th August – Laser Tag
Venue: Pryors Farm, Patch Park, Abridge, Romford RM4 1AA
Time: 11.30am – 3.30pm
Age: 8-15 years

Join us for laser tag games in the great outdoors near Epping Forest. This is an active session, but you can take it at their own pace. Overalls are provided but please wear clothes and shoes for outdoor activities, you will be out in the fields for this one! Another alternative date for your diary:

Tuesday 20th August – Forensic Science Workshop
Venue: RSBC Offices, 52-58 Arcola Street, E8 2DJ
Time: 11am - 4pm 
Age: 8 - 17 years

Become a forensic investigator and help solve the clues, by learning about forensic techniques from real-life detectives.

 

Wednesday 28th August – Trampolining
Venue: Sobell Leisure Centre, Hornsey Road, London, N7 7NY
Time: 1pm - 3pm 
Age: 8 - 25 years

Enjoy an energetic and active session with your friends and cool down while sharing lunch.

 

Thursday 29th August – Goalball and Reptile handling
Venue: Our Lady’s High School, 6-16 Amhurst Park, London N16 5AF and then back to the RSBC Offices, 52-58 Arcola Street, E8 2DJ
Time: 10am - 2pm 
Age: 8 - 25 years

Try something new and join us for an exciting introduction to goalball led by coaches from Goalball UK. This will be followed by a visit from Maynards Mini Zoo where you can handle a selection of friendly reptiles.
