The RSBC Blindfold Run's event village is back
The Blindfold Run is back for its fifth year, and it's already set to be the biggest event yet! In just under a month, runners from across the country will converge on Stratford's iconic Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and run 5 or 10km in pairs, one guiding, one blindfolded.
To celebrate its fifth year, we're welcoming some new partners to bring some family fun to the day, including:
Disability Sports Coach
- An established London-based Charity which aims to encourage disabled people to become more active.
East London Vision
- Also known as ELVis, East London Vision works across the seven East London boroughs north of the River Thames to improve the quality of life for blind and partially sighted people and increase individual independence.
- Goalball UK is the national governing body for Goalball across the UK and they help to promote and facilitate the playing of Goalball as an amateur sport.
Switch Sports UK
- Switch is an inclusive hybrid sport that can be played by anyone who can throw, kick and catch. Switch Sports UK provides community sessions so that entire families can play Switch together and children can grow up playing in teams with their siblings, parents, friends and neighbours.
We're also delighted to announce that Showtime Photo Booth have partnered with us for the day. We think it's just the thing for celebrating with your run partner and friends when you've crossed the line and got your medal.
And to top it all off, there are some blindfolded activities for spectators and runners alike - blindfolded wine tasting and lego making!
