Join us at our Connecting Families online parent support group where you can meet with other parents of young people with vision impairment, share ideas, celebrate achievements, and offer support.
In this session, we’ll be joined by our colleagues in the Futures team, who will discuss how they can help and support you and your child, as you start to make plans for the future. Your child might want to get a paid job, become a volunteer, run their own business, take up an apprenticeship, or go into further or higher education. Or perhaps they aren’t yet sure what they’d like to do? No problem! At RSBC, our experienced Futures service can be by your side to guide and support you and your child one-to-one as you start to make those plans for next steps by developing confidence, increasing independence, and financial & employability skills.
Being prepared and knowing what to do and where to go for help and advice puts you and your young person in the best position to take advantage of what’s on offer and be prepared for the inevitable changes whilst making sense of adult life.
RSBC Futures team supports children and young people aged between 13-25, but if your child is younger, you are still more than welcome to join this session. You never know what’s on the horizon for your family so preparation, awareness and knowledge is key!
