Fundraising that works for you

The incredible generosity of people like you fuels RSBC’s vital work with blind and partially sighted children and young people. Every penny you raise helps to empower them to live their lives without limits. But we know that fundraising isn’t a one-size-fits-all activity – that’s why we’re here to support you, no matter how you choose to get involved.

Organise Your Own Fundraising Event

Got an idea for an amazing fundraiser?

From bake sales to Christmas jumpers, skydiving, mountain climbing and pub quizzes, there are as many ways to fundraise as there are fundraisers!

We’re very grateful that you’ve chosen to support the vital work we do in supporting vision impaired children and young people and their families.

If you’ve got an idea for supporting RSBC, we’d love to hear about it and can always offer support and advice to help make your event the very best it can be.

Fundraising ideas

Looking for creative fundraising ideas? Here are a few to spark your imagination:

  • Host a sensory experience event: Organise a fundraising dinner where guests can enjoy a delicious meal blindfolded to raise awareness of the challenges faced by people with vision impairment. Why not pair it with a silent auction or raffle to boost donations?
  • Get active with a challenge: Challenge yourself and your friends! Organise a sponsored walk or bike ride in a scenic location, or create a fitness challenge between teams, like a step competition using activity trackers.
  • Turn your skills into donations: Are you a baking enthusiast? Then showcase your talents by hosting a bake sale, or offer custom-baked treats! Perhaps you have a hidden artistic talent – if so, organise an online art auction. If you’re crafty, sell your beautiful creations to raise funds. Or if you’re a tech whizz, offer online tutorials for a specific skill you possess in exchange for donations.
  • Set up a pub quiz: Charge an attendance fee, include a raffle, and have a great time while supporting RSBC’s amazing work with blind and partially sighted young people.
