Meet Frankie, a vibrant and tenacious student at RSBC Dorton College. He is in his third year as a student at RSBC Dorton College. He embarked on a remarkable journey, developing his self-confidence and independence; and embracing his unique abilities.

Meet Chloe. She has ocular albinism, a genetic condition which increases sensitivity to light and decreases the sharpness of vision. Meet Emma, 17, a remarkable young woman from Hertfordshire. From birth, Emma has lived with sight loss but at six, she experienced the additional challenge of losing her hearing.

You may have heard of Abigail when, in Spring 2021, Abigail and mum Debbie had just done a sponsored walk dressed as a pirate (Abigail) and princess (Debbie), raising a smashing £2,000 for RSBC.

Fifteen-year-old Kyle is living with nystagmus, an eye condition which causes constant involuntary eye movements and his vision to be reduced. He was experiencing blackouts and panic attacks.

Jay was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa at the age of four and lost his sight at the age of 12. He became isolated and depressed but gradually gained confidence through the support of RSBC’s Families First team.

Isaac likes buses, trains and riding his bike, and one day, he is going to design the world’s fastest airplane. Isaac also happens to be vision impaired.
