And the winner is... Bedtime Donations!

Less than a year ago, RSBC launched Bedtime Donations, an innovative project designed to help blind and partially sighted children access more free audiobooks through the power of human storytelling. Working alongside Innocean Berlin and Buzzwoo, we set out to create something simple but powerful. Every time a volunteer, parent or supporter records a story through the app, they help grow a free library of accessible audiobooks for children who might otherwise have limited access to them.
Since then Bedtime Donations has travelled all across the world, through your stories.
Over the past few months, we have been lucky enough to receive awards from some of the biggest creative, digital and technology awards in the world! We are genuinely honoured and honestly a little overwhelmed by the response.
To date, Bedtime Donations has received:
- D&AD Awards 2026: 1 Silver and 2 Bronze
- The One Show 2026: Best of Discipline Non-Profit, 1 Gold and multiple Bronze
- Webby Awards: People's Voice Award for App Excellence, Accessibility and Inclusion
- The Clio Awards: 2 Silver and 3 Bronze
- New York Festivals: Grand Prix, 2 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze
- Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity: 3 Bronze
For RSBC, these awards mean so much more than shiny trophies.
They represent vision impairment and accessibility being recognised on a global stage. They represent conversations about inclusion reaching new audiences. Most importantly, they shine a spotlight on the experiences of blind and partially sighted children and the importance of ensuring they have equal access to stories, books and opportunities.
We're incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make Bedtime Donations possible. From our partners at Innocean Berlin and Buzzwoo, to the celebrities, volunteers, families and supporters who gave their time and their voices, this achievement belongs to all of you.
While we are proud of the recognition, what makes us happiest is knowing that more people are hearing about the importance of accessible storytelling. Every conversation, download and story recording helps us move closer to a world where blind and partially sighted children can enjoy the same joy, imagination and connection that bedtime stories bring.
Thank you for believing in this project and helping us share it with the world.
