We were deeply saddened to learn today of the passing of Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Kent.

Her Royal Highness devoted much of her life to championing charitable causes, particularly those associated with vulnerable children and young people, including those with vision impairment.

Through her compassion, advocacy, and dedication to public service, she helped shine a light on the importance of inclusion and opportunities for such children and young people which will never be forgotten.

On behalf of everyone at the Royal Society for Blind Children, we extend our heartfelt condolences to HRH The Duke of Kent, members of his immediate family, and to our Royal Patron, His Majesty The King, and all members of the Royal Family at this time.
