London Without Limits
In 2015, RSBC held a series of events during the summer called the London Without Limits festival.
London Without Limits featured a range of surprising, sensory and sociable blindfolded dining, music, wine tasting and family events to highlight the often difficult reality of being blind and young in London.
In the summer of 2015, RSBC partnered with a host of Carnaby’s shops, restaurants and bars who all joined forces to celebrate getting the festival started in style.
The Carnaby Street launch included blindfolded Yoga at Triyoga, blindfolded arts and crafts at Carry Me Home, Smoothie tasting at Moosh Fruit, cocktail tasting at the Rum Kitchen and much, much more.
Thousands of Londoners took part in sensory events across London’s restaurants, bars, shops, clubs and even a farmyard.
Some festival highlights included dancing in the dark, dining in the dark, and the #BlindfoldBeautician challenge - which had people putting on a blindfold, applying make-up to a friend, snapping a picture and then sharing the results on social media.
The finale took place at Wilton’s Music Hall with top London artists including Imogen Heap, Shlomo and the London Contemporary Voices performing to a blindfolded audience.
