What are the best places to search for jobs? We’ve already mentioned social media. There are a number of big, popular job sites out there – Reed, Indeed, Total Jobs, CV Library and so on. These are useful, but remember they are the first place that everyone looks. There are a huge number of opportunities, but also a lot of traffic and a lot of competition.

Try to find sites that specialise in your industry or sector
- It can take a bit of trial and error, but it will pay off. For instance, if you’re interested in the charity or third sector, Charity Job website is a go to site. Some other charity job sites: Charity People, UK Charity Job, NCVO or Third Sector Jobs.
Check out job boards that focus on inclusion

Non full-time jobs
- If you’re looking for a part-time or summer job during college or University, there are sites that specialise in this such as milkround.com or www.e4s.co.uk . These are also great places to discover internships, placements and graduate opportunities.
Job boards
- Networking sites like LinkedIn have useful job boards which often show vacancies not widely advertised elsewhere. You can also use them to market yourself and connect with others who may be able to signpost you to the right opportunity.
